Frequent Questions Asked


1. If our club attends the convention, do we have to participate in any of the competitions?
No, you do not have to enter any competitions to attend. Often, new clubs find it an advantage to observe during their first convention as this enables them to determine what they would like to enter the next year. Students who do participate will benefit more from the convention.

2. Are there individual state offices to contact?
No, the National Headquarters would be your contact for information. Also, you can contact your state sponsor for information about your state convention.

3. Is it necessary to attend the state convention in order to attend the National Convention?
Yes, your school must be represented at the State Convention in order to attend the National Convention.

4. Do I have to send my convention registration and entries by certified mail, return receipt requested?
Most states do not mandate that forms be sent certified mail, return receipt requested. However, certified mail, return receipt requested provides you with written proof of receipt of your materials.

 


A reminder to All Sponsors coming to Conventions

All convention attendees and competitors must be official members registered with the National Beta Club by the registration deadline date of your convention. This means student(s) entering any of the competitions or running for office must be members at the time of the deadline date of your convention. Entry forms that are sent to the National Office that do not meet requirements will not be accepted and will be returned to you.

 

A reminder to Junior Sponsors coming to Conventions

All Junior Beta Club candidates must be returning to a school that has an active Junior Beta Club and must have the written permission of the administration and sponsor of the school(s) involved. Be sure all forms are completed and sent to the correct address.
