National Beta Summer Leadership Camp and Leadership Conference are two of the most beloved events of the year. The health and safety of all registered attendees remains our top priority. As a result of concerns stemming from COVID-19, the National Office along with the Board of Directors have made the incredibly difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Leadership Camp and Leadership Conference.
As previously communicated, all attendees will be automatically refunded for the full camp/conference cost. Refunds will be provided using each member’s original method of payment and will be made in 7-10 business days.
All State Officers, Leadership Representatives, recipients of the Harris Leadership Award, Alumni Summer Leadership Scholarship and state-based Summer Leadership Scholarships will have the opportunity to attend a leadership experience in the future.

The health and safety of all National Beta members, sponsors and stakeholders remains our top priority.
National Beta events, specifically National Beta Conventions, typically bring a collective 20,000 individuals to the host site over the course of 8 days. Following an extensive review of health concerns stemming from the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, combined with the large gathering these events bring, the National Office along with the National Beta Board of Directors have made the difficult decision regarding National Convention. Our National Conventions, previously scheduled to be held in Fort Worth, TX have been cancelled.
However, details regarding a Virtual National Convention will be made available to sponsors on May 8th. The convention registration deadline will be extended to May 29th.
Any clubs that had previously registered for National Convention will receive full refunds for all students, sponsors and guests/chaperones.
All previous registrations have been cancelled and convention registration is currently closed. Clubs that plan to participate in the virtual convention will have the opportunity to re-register following the release of information in the coming weeks.
Currently, the National Beta Summer Leadership Camp and National Beta Summer Leadership Conference scheduled for July 2020 will be held as planned. The summer leadership deadline will be extended to May 29th.
Registration for both events is open. In the event these opportunities are cancelled, all registered individuals will receive full refunds. If, at any time, individuals who register for a Summer Leadership event feel their health may be jeopardized by attending, they may cancel their registration and receive a full refund.

In an abundance of caution for the health and safety of our staff, the National Office will be operating with reduced staff Wednesday, March 18 until Friday, September 18.
What this means:
A small number of our staff will remain on-site, Monday-Friday, 8 am – 4 pm, to answer any questions. Please feel free to call us at (800) 845-8281 during this time.
Our Finance department will still be able to take payment, send invoices, and process refunds.
Our Membership team will continue to process and ship membership materials.
The Beta Shop will ship any merchandise items.
Our Convention/Leadership department will be available to answer any Convention, Leadership Summit or Summer Leadership related questions.
Our Marketing team is available to assist with any new club or club reactivation questions.
Our Production department will be on-site to handle custom orders.

In response to mandated school closings across our country, the National Office is extending the National Convention deadline until May 15, 2020. It is our hope that this extension alleviates any additional pressure these closings may have on your club activities.
Currently, the status of National Convention remains unchanged. However, we are continually monitoring this ever-changing situation. We will make any decisions based on the health and safety of our students, sponsors, stakeholders and staff. In the event of a change, all sponsors will be notified by email.

The health and safety of all National Beta members, sponsors, and stakeholders remains our top priority. As a result of the health concerns stemming from the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the National Office has made the decision to cancel the following events:
- The Indiana Leadership Summit which was scheduled to be held March 12-13, 2020 in Evansville, Indiana.
- The Mississippi Junior Convention which was scheduled to be held March 17-19, 2020 in Biloxi, Mississippi.
- The Alabama Senior Convention which was scheduled to be held March 25-27, 2020 in Birmingham, Alabama.
Leadership Summit attendees will receive full refunds. Remote competition options have been made available to all registered convention attendees.

National Beta is monitoring all available information regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19). National Beta considers the safety of everyone involved, including students, sponsors, staff and stakeholders, as the top priority.
Currently the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has not prohibited large group events or domestic travel. As of now, all National Beta events are scheduled as planned and all venue partners are taking extra precautions to ensure the safety of all attendees.
National Beta is actively monitoring updates and making operational contingency plans as necessary. In the event of a change, all sponsors will be notified by email.
