The Jr. Beta Club of Harrells Christian Academy sponsored a Christmas dance for the Middle School students that was both fun and rewarding. Members of the Jr. Beta Club decided to join forces with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program to help provide needy children with new toys this Christmas.
The required admission to the dance was a new unwrapped toy with a minimum cost of five dollars. Approximately 90 toys were collected during the dance. Harrison Butler, secretary of the Jr. Beta Club, shared, “I am ecstatic that we are going to help that many children in the community who otherwise might not get anything for Christmas.”
On the Monday following the dance, two U.S. Marines came to HCA to collect the toys and thank the Jr. Beta Club officers for their contributions to the Toys for Tots Program.
