The members of the Neighbors Grove Christian Acadmey
have been very busy during the 2007-2008 school year.
So far this year we have completed 3 different service
projects.
Fall - Holiday Food and Toy Drive - students gathered
food and toys to donate to local charities. They
gathered over 1000 lbs. of food and over 400 toys.
Students also traveled to area nursing homes to sing
carols and hand out handmade cards.
January - students took part in the "rice bowls
project." (ricebowls.org) Students place small
plastic bowls around the community and in churches to
collect spare change. The money raised is sent to the
project to provide food for third world countries.
February - students are taking part in the H2O
Project. (H20Project.com) The students wear H20
bracelets for 2 weeks. They are only allowed to drink
water, no soft drinks, tea, juice, etc. During this
time they raise money to send to the project. The
money raised is used to dig wells in third world
countries. $10.00 will dig a well for an entire
village.
