Junior Beta Club

The Junior Beta Club hosted a Harvest Dance in November 2007. The proceeds from the dance benefited the Ronald McDonald House of Augusta, Georgia. Students at the school were charged $2 and a canned good to enter the dance. All canned goods were donated to the Ronald McDonald House. Following the dance, Beta Club members delivered the canned goods, where they stocked the shelves and pantries with their donated items. They also had the opportunity to meet some of the family members who were living at the house.
The Junior Beta Club also coordinated the Red Ribbon Week Drug Awareness Campaign. The week was filled with all sorts of fun, as well as informative, activities that even included a visit from Augusta’s mayor!
Currently, they are coordinating the Pennies for Patients Program sponsored by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. They have challenged every student in the school to donate to this worthy cause. The class that raises the most money will receive a pizza party!
