Timrod’s Junior Beta Club held a Clemson/Carolina Penny War during the football season to collect donations for the Make A Wish Foundation. Mrs. Thelma Hawkins, a volunteer for Make A Wish, came to a Beta Club meeting where she was presented with $373 raised by the students. She also shared with the members some of the things that Make A Wish has done for children in this area. This is Timrod’s Junior Beta Club’s fifth year raising money for Make A Wish.
