STATE SPONSORS' ORIENTATION
The State Sponsors' Orientation
is a biennial program for Junior and Senior State Sponsors.
The sponsor activities include learning the duties of a state
sponsor, planning and coordinating meetings for a convention,
leading an installation ceremony for new officers, and sharing
ideas with other sponsors. There are thirteen Junior State Sponsors
and eighteen Senior State Sponsors. The state sponsors are elected
at their respective state conventions by their peers. When elected
the sponsor is committed to a four year term, two years as sponsor-elect
and two years as state sponsor. The thirty-one state sponsors are
invited to come to Spartanburg for a four day orientation at
the beginning of their term in office. The present state sponsors
were in Spartanburg this past September.

The next conference will be held September 2007.
