The National Beta Club is now a character counts! coalition member – and so are you!
Spartanburg, SC – October 6, 2008 – The National Beta Club has selected The Josephson Institute of Ethics’ CHARACTER COUNTS! program to help further our efforts to promote good character in our members.
“The six pillars of character that CHARACTER COUNTS! utilizes in its program have been at the very foundation of The National Beta Club since its inception in 1934,” stated Executive Director, Ken Cline. “We are pleased to offer CHARACTER COUNTS! as a resource for our sponsors to implement character development within their club activities. The National Beta Club very strongly identifies with the nonpartisan character traits embodied by CHARACTER COUNTS!,” Mr. Cline went on to explain.
“We are extremely proud to have The National Beta Club as part of this growing national program," said Michael Josephson, president and founder of the Josephson Institute. "They have committed to make a difference in the most important aspects of young people’s lives— academic achievement, leadership, service and character.”
National Beta Club sponsors will benefit from this new Coalition Membership through discounts on resources and training opportunities. Although these resources and training sessions are not mandatory for our sponsors, they can enhance and enrich your members’ Beta Club experience.
