The National Beta Club announces its partnership with SchoolTube
Spartanburg, SC August 2008 – The National Beta Club is excited to announce that an added benefit of membership in The National Beta Club is access to the latest in safe media sharing technology.
“Tomorrow’s leaders are growing up today in an electronic world,” states Ken Cline, CEO of The National Beta Club. “Parents and student-focused organizations alike are looking for outlets for our children that protect them from unwanted and inappropriate content. That’s why I am so excited about the opportunity to partner The National Beta Club with SchoolTube. SchoolTube has demonstrated to us, they are a safe, controlled electronic environment for students to engage in media sharing with their peers.”
Members can submit Beta Club related videos or still photos to their faculty sponsor, who will then ensure that all content is suitable for viewing by grades K-12 before uploading. Any Beta Club member can contribute media, but all content must be reviewed by Beta Club sponsors, through SchoolTube’s approval process, before it goes live on the site for viewing.
SchoolTube has launched a redesign of their site including a cutting edge video player, an improved search engine, and many user friendly features. Most of the improvements came from feedback from the thousands of students and teachers already using SchoolTube’s platform to showcase their work and creativity. “SchoolTube is designed to bring students and teachers from across the globe closer together,” says Founder Carl Arizpe. “We are thrilled to have a gold standard partner like The National Beta Club. Sharing videos and pictures throughout the year will help foster a sense of community among members and sponsors no matter where they are.”
One way that The National Beta Club’s motto “Let Us Lead By Serving Others” can be highlighted and shared by National Beta Club members is by submitting videos or photos of their club’s service projects and community efforts. “The sharing of these experiences will hopefully motivate other members and sponsors to follow suit and become an even more active part of their communities,” says Mr. Cline.
