The two biggest problems
(1) I can't login.
You must type in your ID and password exactly as they were given to you. If you are not
certain, click here. The login requires
that your browser support "cookies" (all newer one's do). Read on for more info.
(2) I see strange things on my screen.
You probably need to upgrade your browser. It's easy to do - and it's free. You should do it
at least once every 2-3 months. Click here.
Which browser do we recommend?
Both major browsers work fine. We use Netscape version 4 (or newer).
We find it slightly faster and a little more stable.
Do I have the right browser?
Our test of your current browser show us that:
- You are using CCBot
- Your version is 1.0
- You are running your browser under unknown
- You cannot run Java Script
Based on this information we suggest you upgrade your browser. (See direction below)
The font on my screen looks terrible!
Since you are using
Microsoft Explorer, click on Font (top of page) until
things look 'normal'.
How do I go about "upgrading" my browser?
It's very easy to upgrade your browser to a newer version. And it's
free. Either:
- Download FREE
~or~
(be prepared to wait at least 30 minutes - it could be as long as 1 hour -
for the download and read the installation instructions).

Who can use BetaClub.org?
Anyone can use the basic capabilities.
However, you must be a Beta Club Sponsor to use
many of the other powerful features of the site. Beta Sponsors are provided with
id and passwords.
Refresh Pages Often!
Because BetaClub.org changes so often, we
suggest you refresh the pages often. Many browsers use old (or
cached) copies of pages -- and you need to 'force' the updating of the older stuff.
It's easy to do -- just hit the 'Refresh' button on your browser on any page you want
updated to the latest-and-greatest.
I have lost my ID or Password.
You will need to Contact us.
We generally do not give out passwords over the phone - however, the numbers are:
864-582-9527 or 864-583-4553 (9-5 M-F EST).
I can't seem to get into the "Sponsors Only" sections!
First, you need to have a valid and currrent Beta Sponsor ID and Password that is
supplied by the National Office. Do you have it? If you are a Beta Sponsor and
you have an e-mail address, Click Here - your ID and
password will be e-mailed to you. If you do not have an e-mail address, please call
the National Office.
Make certain you type your ID and password exactly as indicated
(upper and lower case is important!).
Next, you need to permit a "cookie" to be placed on your computer by the BetaClub.org
program. (The "cookie" tells BetaClub.org that you are a legitimate user).
So, if you are presented with a window that pops up and tells you "information is about
to be written to your computer..." or something like that, make certain you
click "OK". Certain very old browsers will not allow cookies to be created --
in that case you will need to upgrade your browser (it only takes a few minutes and you
should have done it a year ago!).
I keep getting lost
Clicking on the BetaClub logo (top of every page) will always take you back to the
Main Page. If your browser supports standard JavaScript, you can click the "back" icon at the
top of nearly every page to return to the previous page otherwise use your browser's BACK key.
How do I return "Back" to a previous page?
All browsers keep a "history" of where you have been. To go "Back" to the last screen,
you simply need to tell your browser to go back one step in the "history". This is how it's
done:
Your browser has a [BACK] button (usually located at upper left of your screen).
Each click of the [BACK] button takes you back one Page in the "history" of where you have
been. In addition to the [BACK] button, most browsers also have a [GO] menu option
(usually located at the very top of your screen) that can be accessed by holding down the
key and pressing the key () that allows you to move "Back" or "Forward"
through your "history".
Also, many pages contain a small "Back" icon that allows you to jump back to the previous
page.
Why is the Internet often so slow!
Obviously, the faster your modem speed, the faster your access. However, many other
factors play into how fast pages appear. For example, the time of day (there are far
more people using Internet resources in the evening than during the day), a site with more
graphics will take longer to download, some sites limit the number of
visitors, etc, etc.
What are the "rules" for using BetaClub.org?
