During the week, Hiseville Elementary collectively celebrated the accomplishments of their Beta Club so far this year. Service projects include: bringing in items for BRAWA, Christmas gifts to local nursing homes, raisings money for Butterflies for Maddie each year as well as supporting Pennies for Patients with the Leukemia/Lymphoma group. Katie Murphy created Hearts for Riley to raise money when a preschool student at Hiseville found out she had Leukemia.
Kentucky Betas from James E. Farmer Elementary compete in the Robotics competition at the National Convention.
Shhh! Can you keep a secret? History has it that National Beta's birthplace was actually Louisville, KY before officially establishing in South Carolina in 1934! Perhaps that can be found in the 1st place Scrapbook won by Barren County at the 3rd National Convention. Although the headquarters relocated, we all know Beta's heart lies in the Bluegrass State! After the first state convention in Lexington in 1939, Kentucky Beta has grown tremendously and stands as one of the strongest states in attendance of all state and national conventions. Join us and let Beta show you “My Old Kentucky Home!”
