National Beta was founded in 1934 by Dr. John W. Harris in South Carolina. He founded the organization on the pillars of achievement, character, leadership, and service. In honor of our National Founder, we invite clubs to celebrate our motto, “Let Us Lead by Serving Others” on Founder’s Day. We encourage all National Betas to make service a priority, not just today but every day.

Discover ways for your Beta Club to serve your community. Consider activities such as planting shrubs, serving meals, sending get-well cards to hospital patients, organizing a food drive, preparing care packages for troops overseas, performing random acts of kindness, and much more. Founder’s Day Scavenger Hunt
Get ready to let your kindness shine this Founder’s Day! The Founder’s Day scavenger hunt will run from Monday, October 20, 2025 to Thursday, October 23, 2025 at 5PM.
During that time, you can use game code S659W7 to participate.
Founder’s Day Contest
We’re excited to announce that we’ll be selecting our three favorite projects to win a Beta Shop gift card! On October 24, 2025, we encourage you to share photos and videos of your club serving the community on social media. If you’ve pre-ordered t-shirts, we’d love to see you wearing them in your pictures.
To enter, simply use #FoundersDay25 when posting on Facebook, Instagram, and X. We’ll be featuring your club on social media and sharing your impact with fellow Betas. Winners will be announced on November 1.
