National Beta Introduces Parent/Guardian Registration Option for 2024 National Convention
As anticipation builds for the upcoming National Beta Convention in Savannah this summer, we’re excited to announce an update in the registration process. To enhance accessibility and convenience for attendees, parents and guardians will now have the opportunity to register their Beta member for National Convention if the rest of their club is not planning to attend.
“For many years, we’ve noticed a growing trend in parents/guardians bringing their child[ren] to National Convention. They arrive with a limited knowledge of both their role and their child’s role in the event, which is naturally frustrating”, said Bobby Hart, National Beta’s CEO. This new avenue for registration allows parents/guardians to take an active role in facilitating their child’s participation and allows our office to provide direct, valuable communication.
While sponsors retain the option to register attendees as before, this new avenue empowers parents/guardians whose child is the only member attending National Convention from their club. This allows them to directly register their Beta members for all but a few competitions. Parents/guardians will be able to register their Beta member for the following competitions:
Registration for the National Beta Convention 2024 is now open. If your child’s entire club is not attending or being registered by a sponsor, you are welcome to register them yourself.

A list of winners for State Convention can be found on our website. Simply filter by the school year (2023-2024), your child’s Beta Division (4-5 Grade: Elementary / 6-8 Grade: Junior / 9-12 Grade: Senior) and your state.

Due to the nature of the competitions, you are not be able to register their Beta member for the following competitions:
Only the club sponsor can register for team or club competitions. Please note that the minimum number of team members must be registered according to the competition guidelines.
Yes, you’ll be able to register any members of your party.
When the sponsor completes club registration, any students registered by a parent/guardian will be noted.
Ideally, this process should only be used by Beta member’s whose schools are not attending National Convention.
No, regardless of whether sponsors or parent/guardians register, all attendees will receive a lanyard, badge and pin.
The registration booth will be located in the River Concourse of the Savannah Convention Center. The registration booth will be open at specific times listed in the National Convention schedule.
You’ll need to provide your student’s name, state, your name and your child’s school name.
No. Beta members must be supervised at all times by a parent/guardian or sponsor.
