BETA BROYHILL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
The Broyhill Leadership Conference
is a nationally recognized program which offers student leaders an opportunity to participate in a unique
presentation of issues, such as Goal-Setting, Communication, Problem-Solving and Self-Concept. The National
Beta Club has sent national and state leaders to the BLC since 1994. A BLC to be held in the Summer will
be offered exclusively to Junior and Senior (grades 7-12) Beta Club Students, not only those elected to
state and national offices, but to any Beta Club student. The first 100 students to apply will attend the
BLC designed exclusively for The National Beta Club.
Since 1928, students from all over America and as far away as Poland and Australia,
have participated in the BLC one-of-a-kind leadership experience. Participants
learn how to become more effective leaders, build positive self-esteem and
overcome negative peer pressure.
BLC may be a life-changing experience for you. You enter into an adventure
the moment you arrive. You receive materials written for you, which are easily
adapted and applied to your clubs and schools. You engage in energetic group
activities and discussions, hear humorous and motivated speakers, watch inspirational
videos, compete in "Olympic-style" team-building events, enjoy a dance and
talent show, and much more. You will laugh and cry, listen and learn, develop
enduring friendships, and take home ideas that will enable you to become a
better student, leader, and son or daughter.
We are honored to have this opportunity to work with the caliber of student who are involved in Beta.
This is a privilege our staff looks forward to with great anticipation. We hope you will join us for the next
BLC held exclusively for the Beta Club members!
We look forward to meeting you!
