National Beta proudly announces the recipients of the 2026 National Beta District of Distinction Award, honoring 95 outstanding school districts representing 543 schools across the nation. This prestigious recognition celebrates districts that demonstrate an exceptional commitment to academic excellence, leadership development, and service involvement through full implementation of National Beta programs.
The National Beta District of Distinction Award is presented to school districts in which every eligible school serves students in grades 4–12 and actively offers National Beta, ensuring that all qualifying students have access to the organization’s opportunities for growth and achievement. This distinction reflects a unified, district-wide dedication to fostering student success both inside and outside the classroom.
“Recognizing entire districts through this award highlights the incredible impact of a shared vision,” said National Beta CEO Bobby Hart. “I am incredibly proud of these districts for their commitment to making Beta accessible to all eligible students. When every school participates, it creates a powerful culture of leadership, service, and academic achievement that benefits not only students, but entire communities.”
Districts selected for this honor completed the nomination process through the National Beta Sponsor Portal by the April 24, 2026 deadline. Each recognized district will receive a congratulatory letter, official press materials, a digital badge, and a District of Distinction award. Additionally, each school within the honored districts will receive individual recognition for their role in achieving this distinction.
The continued growth of the District of Distinction program—with 95 districts and 543 schools recognized this year—demonstrates the expanding impact of National Beta and the value districts place on providing inclusive opportunities for student leadership and service.
