Starting with the 2025–2026 National Beta Regional Leadership Summit and State Convention season, all National Beta events will transition to a completely cashless model. This includes any onsite registration as well as purchases made in the Beta Shop.
Benefits of This Shift
Increased Student Safety and Family Convenience: Going cashless helps keep students safe by eliminating the need to travel with large amounts of physical currency. It also provides peace of mind for parents and sponsors by reducing the need to send or manage cash during events.
Venue Compliance: Most of our host venues have already transitioned to cashless operations. This aligns our process with theirs.
Faster Checkout Experience: When in the Beta Shop, using contactless and card payments streamline transactions and reduce wait times.
Improved Staff Security and Cash Handling
In past years, the Beta Shop team has managed large sums of cash at events. However, most venues do not provide secure methods to store, transport, or process these funds. Transitioning to a cashless model reduces risk for our staff.
