National Beta Club Celebrates Founder’s Day with Service-Driven Impact Across the Nation

Spartanburg, SC –  The National Beta Club proudly commemorates National Beta Founder’s Day, honoring the legacy of Dr. John W. Harris, who founded the organization in 1934 on the enduring pillars of achievement, character, leadership, and service. Today, Beta members across the country continue to uphold the motto “Let Us Lead by Serving Others” through meaningful community engagement and service initiatives.

Founder’s Day, held this year on Friday, October 24, 2025, invited Beta Clubs nationwide to participate in a variety of service activities that supported their communities and reflected Beta’s commitment to positive impact. Activities included organizing food drives, serving meals, sending cards to those in need, planting shrubs, and performing acts of kindness. Additionally, clubs participated in a week-long Founder’s Day Scavenger Hunt, encouraging creativity and collaboration prior to the celebration day.

As part of the celebration, National Beta encouraged clubs to share photos and videos of their service projects on social media using #FoundersDay25, highlighting the spirit of leadership and generosity exemplified by Beta members.

Celebrating Outstanding Service: Founder’s Day Winners

National Beta is pleased to recognize three outstanding clubs whose service projects stood out for their impact and dedication:

  • Immokalee Community Academy (Immokalee, FL) — These Betas truly served boldly through the Brighter Bites project, a fruits and vegetables program providing fresh produce to families in Immokalee, Florida. Club members packed and organized colorful produce to distribute healthy food options to their community, demonstrating compassion and service in action.
  • Aspire Leadership Academy — Aspire Betas made a difference at Worthy Stables, a nonprofit offering therapeutic horsemanship and equine-assisted services. From cleaning stalls to brushing horses, these students showcased that serving boldly can include a little hay and a whole lot of heart.
  • Catawba Ridge High School — This group of Betas served boldly across their entire community. Their efforts spanned multiple activities, including volunteering at local events such as the PowerPuff game and PandaFest, supporting Habitat for Humanity, and assisting veterans at American Legion Post #43 — a true testament to Beta spirit and community leadership.

Building the Leaders of Tomorrow

Founder’s Day reflects National Beta’s broader mission to empower young leaders who make measurable contributions locally and beyond. By celebrating service, leadership, and collaboration, Founder’s Day honors both the organization’s history and its members’ commitment to impactful action.
