Scholarship expansion will recognize 365 graduating Senior Beta members each year
National Beta is expanding the National Scholarship Program to award $500,000 in scholarships annually, increasing both the number of students recognized and the value of the top awards.
Through the expanded program, 365 graduating Senior Beta members will receive scholarships, an increase of 105 recipients. Scholarship awards will range from $1,000 to $25,000.
“Beta members demonstrate an incredible commitment to achievement, character, leadership and service throughout their high school careers,” said Bobby Hart, CEO. “Expanding our Scholarship Program allows us to recognize even more deserving students while making an even greater investment in their futures.”
With the expansion, National Beta will introduce a new $1,500 scholarship level recognizing students who advance to the Top 100 finalist round of the National Scholarship Program. The organization will also increase the number of $2,500 scholarships awarded and significantly increase the value of its five highest scholarship awards.
Under the expanded program, National Beta will award:
- 265 scholarships of $1,000
- 85 scholarships of $1,500
- 10 scholarships of $2,500
- Five top scholarships of $10,000, $12,500, $15,000, $20,000 and $25,000
In addition to expanding scholarship opportunities, National Beta has also improved the application experience for students. Individually submitted service hours that have been approved by a club Sponsor through National Beta’s Service Hour feature will now automatically populate within a student’s scholarship application, making it easier for applicants to showcase their Beta service.
The expansion represents National Beta’s continued commitment to recognizing the accomplishments of its members and helping them pursue their goals beyond high school.
