Ground and Ferry Transporation

Conference attendees can take advantage of the complimentary ground shuttle service, which loops between all convention hotels and the Savannah Convention Center, as well as the complimentary water ferry service that runs between the Savannah Convention Center, City Hall, and Waving Girl ferry docks. All students 17 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult to ride the ferry.

Pop Tabs for Change: Georgia Beta Club Statewide Service Project

Project Overview

The “Pop Tabs for Change” project aims to collect aluminum pop can tabs throughout Georgia to support charitable organizations such as the Ronald McDonald House Charities, which recycle tabs to fund programs for families with seriously ill children. Beta clubs across the state are invited to participate by collecting pop tabs and dropping them off at designated collection centers.

Participants will receive a receipt upon drop-off, acknowledging their contribution and will bring the receipts to the Georgia State Beta Convention.

How It Works

Collect: Gather pop tabs from aluminum cans at home, school, or community events.

Drop-Off: Bring the collected tabs to any of the designated collection centers listed below.

Receive Receipt: Show your donation; receive a receipt acknowledging your contribution. Bring receipt to the Georgia State Beta Convention.

Support: Collected tabs are recycled; proceeds fund charitable programs benefiting children and families.

This is a courtesy notice to inform Jr. Georgia BETA attendees that the enmarket Savannah Bridge Run will be taking place on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm. There will be road closures during this time related to the course route.

See below for information on road closers and alternative routes 

  • If you are parking your bus overnight at the Savannah Convention Center and moving bus on Saturday morning to pick up students, you will need to make plans to have the bus off the island by 7:15am.  The Savannah Harbor Pkwy Entrance Ramp to Oglethorpe Exit Ramp will be closed starting at 7:45 am to 11:00 am 
  • Please plan for bus/car departures from the Savannah historic district hotels by 8:00am.  The Oglethorpe Entrance Ramp to Wayne Shackleford Exit Ramp (17 N) will be closed starting at 8:30 am to 10:15 am 
  • Once you cross the Talmadge Memorial Bridge, pass the Savannah Convention Center Exit and turn around at the South Carolina welcome sign.  A South Carolina State Trooper will be stationed at the turnaround to stop oncoming traffic and allow buses to make a safe turn.  Take the exit toward Hutchinson Island 
  • Continue Wayne Shackleford Pkwy to International Dr  
  • If you have students staying at one of the hotels below it is recommended to use the above departure times: Embassy Suites, Hampton Inn & Suites, Residence Inn, Courtyard Historic District, Cambria Hotel Historic District, TRYP, Aloft Hotel, The Ann Savannah, and Fairfield Inn

Receive Receipt: Show your donation; receive a receipt acknowledging your contribution. Bring receipt to the Georgia State Beta Convention.

Support: Collected tabs are recycled; proceeds fund charitable programs benefiting children and families.
